Spring has sprung, and the school year is starting to wind down. With end of the year homework assignments and life commitments bogging you down, it can sometimes also reflect on your outward appearance.

But we at A don’t want your hair and beauty routine to become an annoyance, either.

That’s why we’ve come up with these simple makeup and hair ideas that are  cute, comfortable and most importantly STRESS FREE!

HAIR

Look 1

If you just got done with a run in the beautiful fresh air and don’t want to put too much effort in your hair that day but still want to look cute, try Dutch braids.

This hairstyle prevents you from having to worry about what your hair looks like after you sweat a little from your run/workout. It also helps get your hair out of your face. This under 4 minute Youtube tutorial, gives you step-by-step instructions on how to achieve this look.

Look 2

Another cute braid hairstyle that still looks good, even when the spring sun is beating down on you, is a braided bun hair style like the Youtube video below. It keeps the fly-aways out of your face and the sunshine on you a beautiful glow.

MAKEUP

If you want to conceal blemishes, acne scars and redness on your face when playing a pick-up sports game or want to get out of the door quickly to do errands, try NYX Incredible Waterproof Concealer. It’s under $5! Total steal!

To highlight your eyes when you are going out on a dinner date, try Wet ‘n’ Wild H20 Proof eyeliner and Maybelline New York Great Lash Waterproof Mascara.

We all know that applying sunscreen protects our bodies from harmful effects, but we don’t always remember to protect our lips from the sun’s rays. Cosmopolitan has some suggestions on different lip balms to try.

To protect your pucker in the sun, stay away from clear gloss. Pick one with a bit of color instead, since the pigment is a natural sunblock.”

Senna Lip Lacquer in Orangeism, $15 will give you a pop of color of your lips or spring  or Urban Decay Lip Gunk in Burn Out for a soft pink with a little sun-kissed simmer for  $13.

But if you want to go more natural, find a lip balm with a SPF of 15 or higher like Chap Stick Lip Moisturizer SPF 15 for $1.79 at our local drugstore.
