Kayla Friedman: Kayla is A Magazine’s Editor-in-Chief. She is a senior Fashion Merchandising major with minors in Fashion Media and Design. Kayla joined A Magazine during her freshman year to share her voice and blend her passions for writing and fashion. She describes A Magazine as the highlight of her college experience and credits it for helping her land an internship at Dotdash Meredith as a Commerce Intern for Byrdie (check out her bylines here). Her style icon is Rachel Green from “Friends,” and she loves ‘90s fashion.
Samantha De Lima: Samantha is A Magazine’s Managing Editor. She is a senior majoring in Fashion Merchandising and Fashion Media. Samantha joined A Magazine in her sophomore year to express her passion for writing through the lens of fashion and culture. Her style icons are local NYC creatives featured on pages like ‘Watching New York’ and ‘The People Gallery,’ who inspire her with their ability to both accept and reject trends simultaneously.
Mikaela Gomez: Mikaela is A Magazine’s Art Director. She is a senior majoring in Visual Communication Design with a minor in User Experience Design. Mikaela joined A Magazine as an illustrator in her sophomore year because she wanted to create art and was captivated by the magazine’s creativity and visual appeal. As a senior, she rejoined the team as Art Director to bring her unique perspective and create something amazing. Her favorite designer is Yihan Lin, who designs for the clothing company Tnewties.
Hannah Planey: Hannah is one of A Magazine’s Assistant Editors. She is a junior Journalism major with a minor in Creative Writing. Hannah joined A Magazine because she loves writing editorials and long-form articles and knew she wanted to be part of A as soon as she heard about it. She loves what A stands for and the chance to share her work on such a welcoming platform. Her style icons are Rachel Sennott and Aria Montgomery from Pretty Little Liars.
Kayla Gleason: Kayla is one of A Magazine’s Assistant Editors. She joined A Magazine because she loves writing about all things fashion and beauty. Her favorite style icon is Katharine Hepburn because of her loose, classy looks.
Alex Dmitruk: Alex is this semester’s Web Editor for A Magazine. She is a sophomore majoring in Fashion Design, pursuing an Art History minor. She joined A Magazine to collaborate with likeminded people and expand her knowledge in fashion media. She loves the work of Schiaparelli and Charles James.
Nica-Emmanuel Delgado: Nica-Emmanuel is A Magazine’s Diversity Committee Director. They are a senior Anthropology major with a minor in World Literature and Culture. Nica-Emmanuel joined A Magazine as their first step to becoming a professional illustrator. Now, they are excited to direct a committee of wonderful and passionate individuals during a divisive semester. Their style icon is Rory Gilmore.
Olivia Moore: Olivia is A Magazine’s Promotions Director. She is a junior majoring in Public Relations. Olivia joined A Magazine to be part of a team where collaboration and creativity are at the forefront. She is passionate about contributing to A Magazine and hopes to reach audiences meaningfully, both on campus and beyond. Her style icon is Margot Robbie, who she admires for her effortlessly elegant and feminine looks.
Corey Kuzma: Corey is A Magazine’s photo editor. He is a senior at Kent State University. He joined A Magazine because it allowed him to be a part of a creative community that welcomed him with open arms. It has given him the opportunity to pursue his passion for fashion photography and connect with people that have inspired him and his work. One of his favorite designers is Alexander McQueen.
Steph Mossop: Steph Mossop is A Magazine’s Style Director this semester. They are a senior Fashion Merchandising major with a Fashion Media minor and have been with A Magazine since their sophomore year. Steph joined A Magazine to share their enthusiasm for styling and makeup and loves this team’s passion and dedication. Their favorite designers are Ann Demeulemeester and Noir Kei Ninomiya.
