A little while back, my friend and A Mag stylist Thea Barakat showed me this vintage Karl Lagerfeld dress she thrifted and I instantly got inspiration from it. The vision for this shoot was a ‘60s lunch break. You’re at work in the office as a typist and you’re getting a joke mansplained to you for the fifth time from one of your bosses. Needing a bit of a break, you grab your work bestie for a drag outside. You chat about trivial things like the new go-go boots you bought and the peaceful protest you’re attending later that day all while dreaming of one day being your own CEOs.
