Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty line was founded in May of 2018 and has grown immensely since its launch in 2019. The brand has had four successful shows thus far and continued with its Vol. 3 show available on Amazon Prime. It was pre-filmed just as her one in 2020 was, and took place in Los Angeles, California.
The show took place in the Westin Bonaventure Hotel and as the show went on, it continued to ascend until the models reached the rooftop. This is where the show had its dramatic finale starring Rihanna. Throughout the whole show, there were also many musical performances from artists such as Nas, Daddy Yankee, Ricky Martin, Jazmine Sullivan and a few others.
The lingerie company showcased over 90 outfits during the Vol. 3 show. This included clothes from both the men’s and women’s lines, and varied from undergarments to fabulous dresses and coats. One thing that stood out while viewing was as one watches the show, there are tabs on the screen that allow them to directly shop for each of the pieces!
One of my favorite items that was featured was the gorgeous blue, lustrous robe that Gigi Hadid modeled. This look was paired with some of Rihanna’s most popular lingerie styles and was very well styled.
Another one of my favorite looks was one that BIA showed off. This was a set and included a lacey skirt overlay, a thong, a bralette and gloves. It is a neon green ensemble and is available in standard and plus sizes; which is another reason I loved it. I think the color and cage skirt design is very unique to the brand. They both scream Fenty to me!
An amazing thing about this show was the diversity of the models in it. This Rihanna-led brand’s show was one of the most inclusive that went on this year. From different races, genders, body types and sexualities, they really showcased everyone. They even had a model with prosthetic legs and another that was pregnant. Some of the celebrities that were highlighted in this year’s show included Cindy Crawford, Vanessa Hudgens, Precious Lee, Bella Poarch, Troye Sivan, Sabrina Carpenter and many more.
From the unique pieces to the impressive performances, this show was one to remember. It is absolutely worth the watch and truly showcases some amazing lingerie trends that are going to be coming up soon!
