Don Witkowski, president of the Michael Kors men’s division, will give an open lecture at noon on April 28 in the Rockwell Hall auditorium.
Witkowski, who is a Kent State alumnus, will be inducted into the Kent State Fashion School Hall of Fame during the weekend he is in Kent.
“Don Witkowski’s lecture is an excellent opportunity for the Kent community — including students of all majors — to hear from someone who has been a key player in the business side of fashion for over 25 years,” said Alex Parrott, marketing associate for the Kent State Fashion School.
In addition to Michael Kors, Witkowski has held high positions with other major companies like Barney’s, Calvin Klein and many more. He is also the owner and president of his own consulting firm, Kona Consult Inc.
“As a Cleveland native and a Kent State alumnus who majored in psychology, he also has significant ties to the area,” Parrott said.
The lecture will be followed by the matinee showing of the Fashion School’s Annual Fashion Show, FS². The lecture is free and open to the public.
