what I keep in my skincare fridge

During quarantine, I did quite a lot of online shopping. One of the many things I discovered was a skincare fridge, and I can’t imagine my life without it now. When it comes to anything that I put on my skin, that is now the first thing that comes to mind. Keeping my skincare products cold helps keep my skin tight and helps with the redness that I have struggled with for years. The fridge I have is from Amazon, and it wasn’t too costly, plus it also came in a few different colors as well — mine is pink!

The first thing I keep in my fridge is some basic face masks, most of them vary from clay mask packets or sheet masks. I keep them on the door inside a little basket. I have some Freeman masks and some Korean skincare brands as well. While those just come in smaller packs that I have, I do keep my favorite face mask in there as well. The I Dew Care Sugar Kitten Peelable Holographic mask really does help my skin stay soft and clear.

With that covering the front section of my fridge, I keep some other popular products in there as well. I keep some of my favorite Lush items such as their Tea Tree Water Toner, their Grease Lightening cleanser, their Rosy Cheeks mask and lastly, their Cup o’ Coffee exfoliant. I love Lush products; they’re all-natural, smell amazing and I think that they really do help my skin out.

Behind the Lush store that makes up a majority of my skincare fridge, I do have a few more random products that finish up my skincare routine, including the Ponds dry skin moisturizer, which I have been using for years, especially during the colder winter months. I have a ton of moisturizers, but the last one I keep in my skincare fridge is one that I only use during my nighttime routine, the First Aid Beauty ultra repair hydra-firm night cream. This is a little pricey, but can really help premature wrinkles or just firm up my skin a little more.

I do have one tool in my fridge and I think it changes how it works astronomically. I have a rose quartz roller that I use with some of my serums and I think it helps depuff my face, and I’ll be honest, it makes me feel a little bit more boujee. “The Glow Edit” is where this all started due to reading an article that explained when products are cold the effects they have can almost happen simultaneously!

The last few things I keep in the fridge are some facial sprays. I know that this first spray is not the best for your skin, but I still use it every once in a while, it’s the Mario Badescu Rose Water Spray. It smells great and really does hydrate my skin well. The next one is the Too Faced 3-in-1 setting spray. This can be used to set your face, prime your face, or replenish your makeup throughout the day! The last item I keep in my fridge is the Smashbox Photofinish Primer water. I don’t use this in the exact way it’s intended — as a primer — I use it as a spray for part of my night routine, and I spray it on my skin before bed to really cleanse and moisturize.

That’s everything in my skincare fridge! All of my products are used almost daily and I think keeping them cold really helps amplify the effects they have on my skin. If you have the extra money, investing in a skincare fridge can change your skincare routine, or even just make your desk a little cuter!
