A loss of connection to one’s essential nature

Distorts the perception of true identity

Self discovery cannot be measured through time 

It is a non-linear journey we all inevitably face

How does one define who they are 

When that very thing has yet to be discovered

What it comes down to is voraciously pursuing courage 

despite facing adversity

Establishing that sense of a freedom 

And running with your truth

There is beauty in pain

The two can exist simultaneously

The core of it all 

Has always been you
